InvestmentNews – Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors 2023, 2024

Best Companies Group uses a two-part process to gather detailed data about each participating company and shares this independent data with InvestmentNews to report the ranking. The first part is an Employer Questionnaire filled out by each firm detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics. The other component is an employee engagement and satisfaction survey with an in-depth set of 78 statements requiring employees to respond on a one- to five-point Likert scale of agreement, as well as two open-ended questions and seven demographic questions. To participate in the program, firms needed to be an RIA or affiliated with an independent broker-dealer, in business for a minimum of one year, and have at least 15 full-time employees. Tobias Financial Advisors is unaware of any undisclosed facts that could potentially invalidate the appropriateness of the award. Award winners are selected each year from an undisclosed pool of qualified candidates. The award is not intended to be representative of any client’s experience because of the way in which it is evaluated. The award was granted by unaffiliated third parties. This ranking comes at no cost to Tobias Financial Advisors. For more about the ranking and methodology, please visit this link:

South Florida Business Journal – Best Places to Work for 2023, 2024

Quantum Workplace manages the Best Places to Work Award for South Florida Business Journal. In order to gather statistically sound results, companies must reach a minimum level of employee participation (based on total number of employees) to be eligible as a finalist. Responses from each question on the survey are compiled and evaluated. Human resources managers or other company representatives complete and submit the official online nomination form. Once the nomination fee has been paid and the form has been submitted, each company will be asked to complete and submit employee surveys to determine the final rankings. You must invite all eligible employees to take the survey, which is administered during the following time frame: October 9  through November 17. In order for the results to be statistically significant, a certain percentage of employees need to complete the survey based upon the total number of local employees that are full-time and part-time, permanent employees by 5:00 pm on the survey deadline. The survey considers:

  • Communication and Resources
  • Individual Needs
  • Manager Effectiveness
  • Personal Engagement
  • Team Dynamics
  • Trust in Leadership

Companies are ranked and finalists are chosen in each size category according to their overall engagement score. The engagement score is calculated by compiling all raw data from the questions on a six-point Likert scale (strongly disagree to strongly agree) to find an average score that is then indexed to a 100-point scale. Overall number of responses is also factored into the engagement score. All Best Places to Work winners are determined exclusively on the basis of their employees’ responses to the Best Places to Work Survey. Employee responses from the 30 standard survey questions, along with the number of employees that respond to the survey, are calculated to determine the company’s overall score and ranking. Tobias Financial Advisors has paid the nomination fee to initiate the process of being considered for this recognition, as well as a fee to gain the rights to use the award’s logo for a year in marketing materials. This fee has no bearing on the result and the selection for this recognition.
