We are proud to share that Tobias Financial Advisors has been recognized as one of the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America.
The Inc. 5000 ranks privately held U.S. companies based on revenue growth over a three-year period. For our team, being included on this year’s list is an opportunity to recognize the people who have contributed to the growth of Tobias Financial Advisors and continue to move our firm forward.
As we grow, our focus remains the same: investing in our team and providing thoughtful, personalized financial planning services to the individuals, families, and businesses we serve.
We are grateful to our team for the care, collaboration, and dedication they bring to their work each day. We are equally grateful to our clients for the trust they place in us and the relationships we have built together over the years.
Growth gives us an opportunity to continue strengthening our team and capabilities while staying focused on what matters most: helping our clients make informed financial decisions and live the lives they want to live.
Methodology:
Step 1: Application
To qualify for the Inc. 5000, companies must:
- Be privately held, for-profit, based in the U.S., and independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company)
- Have generated revenue by March 31, 2023
- Have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in 2023
- Have generated at least $2 million in revenue in 2026
One important note: If a business was recently acquired or went public, that company is still eligible as long as it was privately held and independent through December 31, 2026.
Companies that meet these requirements can then complete our application with basic information, including the company’s founding year, the CEO’s name, the company’s address, and, crucially, the annual revenue figures that will determine Inc. 5000 rankings.
Step 2: Revenue verification
The Inc. 5000 honors the fastest-growing companies in America as determined by a three-year revenue growth rate. Thus, companies must provide gross annual revenue for the base year (2023) and for 2026 with financial statements, which must be signed by the CEO and a credentialed third party.
These statements can include tax documents such as business tax returns or audited financial statements. Inc. defines revenue as gross receipts minus returns. In the case of unique cases and very high-growth companies, Inc. reserves the right to ask for additional documentation.
Step 3: Growth percentage calculation
Companies on the Inc. 5000 list are ranked according to their percentage growth of their annual revenue over a three-year period, from the base year (2023) to 2026. Here is the equation for growth percentage:
[(end yearly revenue – base year revenue) / base year revenue] x 100 = total revenue growth percentage
For example, if 2023 revenue was $3 million and 2026 revenue was $15 million:
$15 million – $3 million = $12 million
12,000,000 / 3,000,000 = 4
4 x 100 = 400
The growth rate is 400 percent.
Step 4: Vetting
Finally, the list goes to the editorial team for a second round of vetting. While this list is revenue–based, Inc.’s research department will conduct background research on applicants and interview select founders. All companies must meet standard editorial guidelines, which emphasize accuracy, fairness, transparency, and ethics. A company that does not meet such standards may be disqualified.
