More and more retirees are making changes in residency. Florida is one of the most popular destinations, along with North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona, and Georgia. The driving force behind the move is a search for cheaper cost of living, especially housing. Although there have been some adjustments to Social Security, it does not necessarily match the increase in cost of living. 

Our CEO, Marianela Collado was recently quoted on AARP, sharing her thoughts on retirees contemplating a move to a different state and the possible impacts. “You could be making a move to downsize but actually find yourself with higher costs, especially related to property taxes,” she says. “People really need to think through all around what the impact is,” Marianela shared.
